A scalable and secure interface for public access to municipal land use plans

Challenge

The Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Frankfurt am Main) required a public-facing platform to display current land use and zoning plans from local municipalities. The platform needed to offer intuitive navigation, consistent updates, and fast performance — all while handling administrative complexity and long-term reliability for a non-technical editorial team.

Project Overview

Poljects developed and now hosts the full digital solution: bauleitplanung.frankfurt-main.ihk.de. The platform allows the public and planning stakeholders to easily access updated zoning plans and supporting documents from across the region.

The design balances transparency with simplicity — making even large data tables and planning documents easily navigable. On the backend, Poljects ensures full hosting, security, and update management for maximum stability.
